Althea is a digital journalist and filmmaker from Toronto. Her short films have appeared at the Toronto Urban Film Festival, the Toronto Sport Film Festival and the WIFT-T Showcase. Her documentary Sully’s, which aired on Bell TV1, chronicled the rise and fall of boxing in Toronto. Her first narrative scripted short, Clown Killer, based on a short story by award-winning author Josh Saltzman, recently screened at the 2018 Toronto After Dark Film Festival.
Althea is currently a Digital Producer for CBC Radio, where she makes web content for national radio shows. Before that, she was a news writer and video encoder for CBCNews.ca. She has also interned at the National Post, Rogers Television and Seventeen Magazine Philippines.
