Yves Lamson

Yves Lamson is a Filipino-Canadian author aiming to preserve the intangible historical artefacts of the Philippine oral tradition. He is inspired by the rich history and folklore-dense stories of the Philippines, stories he fears will be lost to younger generations of Filipinx-Canadians.

His first novel, Bodies of Water, is loosely based on his maternal ancestry, following the lives of four generations of Filipinas.

A native of Stouffville, Ontario, he divides his year between Berkeley, California and the farm he’s called his home since he was a child.
